A few words about me
I work in the humanistic-experiential approach, which is distinguished by its focus on experiencing. Personal, subjective experience lies at the heart of being human, and it is precisely this that is the aim, the subject and the tool of the work. The therapeutic relationship is regarded as a healing factor in the process of therapy: a supportive, safe, human contact helps us to look at ourselves.
Although I love the power of working with a group, individual psychotherapy offers a unique opportunity to accompany a person on their search for the truth about themselves and for a full life, so that, like Carl Rogers, they can say: “I feel happier simply being myself and allowing others to be themselves.”
Education and experience
I am a psychologist and a qualified psychotherapist. I completed the four-year School of Psychotherapy at the INTRA Centre for Psychological Help and Education (Ośrodek Pomocy i Edukacji Psychologicznej INTRA), which is recommended by the Polish Psychological Association (Polskie Towarzystwo Psychologiczne). I gained my clinical placement at the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw, on the F7 Affective Disorders Ward.
I am a graduate of the Course in Group Training and Psychotherapy at the Lower Silesian Centre of Psychotherapy (Dolnośląskie Centrum Psychoterapii) and of Level I Solution-Focused Therapy. I completed a one-year programme of Trainer Skills Workshops at the Centre for Training and Career Counselling of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (Centrum Szkoleń i Doradztwa Zawodowego UKSW).
For the past seven years I have also worked as a trainer in the field of positive prevention. My experience includes more than 9,000 hours of work with children and young people and with parents, as well as specialist training courses for teachers lasting many months.
I also gained experience through the Polish-Swiss project of the Bene Vobis Foundation and the KRA Association, “Wolontariusz w Placówce”, which trains people for voluntary work with children and young people from difficult backgrounds.
I completed a one-year placement as a volunteer at the STO POCIECH Foundation in Warsaw. I have been a guest lecturer in communication and relationship-building for students at the Faculty of Theology (PWT) of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University and at the Higher Metropolitan Theological Seminary in Warsaw.
Personally
I love travel, tea, spirituality and polyphonic singing.
